Career Counseling Services:
Patricia has over 20 years in business – the last three focusing on career counseling by supporting other experienced professionals, undergraduate and graduate college students in choosing or changing careers, job search strategies and interviewing skills. As a retired Certified Public Accountant at a “Big Six” Accounting firm, her practical experience provides a unique combination of real-world knowledge in private industry and corporate environments.
Patricia is driven to connect with clients in order to empower them to build confidence and gain clarity while building a strong foundation for future success. Patricia is certified to administer and interpret Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Instrument and the Strong Interest Inventory (SII). As your career counselor, Patricia will validate and clarify what the results mean personally for you and will explain how to incorporate that knowledge to implement and achieve your personal and career goals.
Personal Counseling Services:
Patricia provides counseling to build confidence while managing stress, anxiety, and/or depression. She works together with clients as a collaborative team using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) along with practical exercises and stress reduction techniques. The results of EMDR have been shown to reduce disturbance of stressful life events and allow the individual to process traumas to a state of resolution. Most people don’t think trauma applies to them unless they have been a victim or witness to physical and (or) sexual abuse or military combat situations – sometimes referred to as “big T” traumas. Patricia works with clients with low self-esteem, often the result of “little t” traumas which may stem from neglect, abandonment, or criticism. Part of the EMDR treatment is to resolve past influences and allow the client to feel empowered in the present. Patricia can help you heal painful emotional experiences and transition to wellness.
