Individual, Couples, Adolescent & EMDR Therapist
Life can be complex, chaotic & messy AND it can be thriving, connective & beautiful. I have a warm, multi-dimensional personality and believe in the healing power of humor. Intuitive in-taking, reflection and curiosity are core strengths I’ve always possessed. I consider it an honor to empower people to uncover systems of their lives that no longer serve them while fostering empathy and openness to reaching a more fulfilling life.
I help you deepen awareness of what you’re experiencing and navigate ways to show up as your most authentic self. Therapy can be a transformative experience, where we begin to challenge ourselves to grow, and while not always easy, I sincerely believe its worth it having walked it myself: grief and loss through divorce, a self proclaimed ex-perfectionist and learning to live within my values and integrity. It is my honor to join you on your path.
It is a privilege to provide a welcoming, empathetic and non judgmental space with you to forge a path while maneuvering the obstacles ahead of you. I truly believe you have all the answers deep beneath the many layers of your being. It is there that healing begins, bringing you closer to embodying your authentic self and all it encompasses. I am continuously amazed by the capacity of my clients have and believe in the resilience of the human spirit.
As a couple’s counselor, I can help you rebuild your relationship, develop new tools for communication while eliminating barriers that prevent connection and vulnerability. I apply the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I wholeheartedly believe we heal and thrive through our relationships, where trust and genuineness are the foundation for change to take place. I can also help prepare couples in need of premarital support in navigating through conflict resolution, communication skills, finances, intimacy, boundary setting and creating their vision for their future.
Individual & Adolescent Therapy
As your individual therapist, l specialize with adults facing eating disorders, body image, personality disorders, trauma, relational difficulties, anxiety, depression, attachment issues and family of origin work. We will work to combat shame, perfectionism, dig deeper into feeling our feelings and learn alternative methods of coping. I also specialize in working with teens, ages 15-17, to overcome eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, building relationships, anxiety, depression and working through life transitions.
I am an EMDR Trained Therapist and strongly believe in its effectiveness for trauma and other concerns you may be facing. If it doesn’t feel right for you, I also utilize an eclectic mix of modalities pulling from Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment-Based, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Relational Therapy.
I have a special place in my heart for working with the concerns and hurdles we face as women: divorce, infertility, domestic violence/abusive relationships and juggling life’s challenges. Therapy can be the open door that we walk through towards a path of restoration – in mind, body, soul, and spirit.
