Elizabeth's Focus
You deserve a chill space where you can feel safe exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. When we meet, I’ll use a mix of person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques that work just for you.
Therapy is all about growing and discovering more about yourself. It’s not about being weak; it’s actually a brave step towards living a happier life. I’m dedicated to giving you and your children a safe place to dig into what’s bothering you, connect with who you really are, and build better relationships.
I work with folks of all ages, whether it’s one-on-one, kids, teens, or families, and I especially love working with kids going through changes or experiencing anxiety, stress, or behavioral challenges. I also have a soft spot for helping professional women in corporate jobs deal with burnout, stress, and anxiety.
I’ve got a lot of experience working with individuals, children and teens from all kinds of backgrounds and issues. I’m all about providing care that respects different cultures, lifestyles and beliefs by creating a welcoming and safe environment for everyone.
Elizabeth's Other Specialities
I am passionate about working with kids and teens through a variety of emotional, behavioral, and life transition challenges. I can work collaboratively with parents and children on strategies to increase connection, reduce meltdowns, and foster positive behavioral change.
More About Elizabeth
Beyond my therapeutic practice, I am an avid writer and find solace in writing during my free time. I shared the same writing coach as Ray Bradbury! I also enjoy unwinding with rom coms and cozy mysteries. My work history includes a stint at The Walt Disney Company as a Senior Sourcing Analyst.
History And Qualifications
I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Before that, I got my Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana where I studied history, psychology, and biology. I also have a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Liberal Arts, both from Texas Christian University.
Prior to entering the mental health field, I gained varied and valuable experience in business management, process improvement, and educating youth. I bring a strong organizational mindset, problem-solving skills, and a data-driven approach to my therapeutic work. This unique blend equips me to understand you and your teen’s individual needs and create a personalized treatment plan that effectively addresses your concerns.
