What causes anxiety?

Anxiety is a type of behavioral disorder that is characterized by overwhelming feelings of fear and worry. The cause depends on a few different factors ranging from your parents, personality, and trauma-related issues. You may have experienced one traumatic event large enough to set it off or a slow accumulation of small stresses that wore you down.

If you were more prone to fear, anxiety, and worry, either of these circumstances would be enough to set you up in a consistent state of anxious feelings. Certain personality types are also more prone to experience anxiety than others.
