Goals for the Women’s Trauma Recovery Group:

Join this Trauma Recovery Group

Group therapy creates a community of people that understand your traumatic experiences.

Our goals in this group are to help you move beyond trauma without normal daily interference. We will help you to understand and confront the trauma. While these explorations can feel overwhelming at first, it will ultimately lead to processing your traumatic experiences in a healthy and productive manner. You will learn skills to bolster your ability to understand the traumatic event in a way that will reduce the negative effects on your daily life.

Why a Women’s Trauma Recovery Group?

Group therapy creates a community of people that understand your traumatic experiences. This shared empathy is conducive to an environment that will promote supportive and growth-minded individuals. By normalizing the experience of recovery and promoting your capacity towards healing, groups have the potential to strengthen the survivor’s coping, as well as reduce isolation. Group therapy is a powerful way to help recover from trauma.
