About Ron DonLevy

I love helping people reach their potential or find their joy. Joy is found in activities, relationships, inner peace, or just in nature. Looking for joy in a place of challenge can cause frustration, distress, and sadness. Joy isn’t confined to one aspect of our experience. Whether you experience fear, frustration, sadness, or confusion – healing starts with being heard and feeling seen. Embark on a journey of discovery and growth. Take that first step – getting started is the hardest part.

Ron's Focus

As a therapist, I often use a systems approach. Our challenges and successes in life are impacted by the relationships we have with family, friends, coworkers, society, and beyond. Counseling is not an effort to fix you, but an opportunity for you to explore how you interact in these systems and what adjustments might be possible. Individual growth and change is inevitable, but you are not the only variable. I am reminded of this amazing quote:

“When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.” -Alexander Den Heijer

More About Ron

I am a singer, musician, teacher, and father. I have experienced love, hate, success, failure, denial, deceit, acceptance, and truth. I enjoy choral music, puzzles, great food, and great friends. I look forward to being a fantastic grandpa in the not too distant future. I enjoy young adult fiction probably as a result of teaching middle school for so many years. I am passionate about social justice and specifically the LGBTQIA+ community.
