Ron's Focus
As a therapist, I focus on how we relate—to ourselves, to others, and within the environments we live, including how identity, culture, and lived experience shape those relationships. Our experiences are shaped within these connections, and at the same time, I believe you are the expert on your own life.
I don’t see therapy as a process of fixing something that’s broken. It’s about creating a space where you can feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. From that kind of connection, we begin to explore how your experiences have shaped you, how you relate to yourself and others, and what might be possible moving forward.
I often find myself holding two things at once: acceptance of where you are and openness to change. Both matter. At times, this means making space for parts of your experience that have not had a voice. At other times, it means finding new ways of responding, connecting, or setting boundaries. Most often, it is both.
When something is not working, it is important to look beyond the individual and consider the context in which it exists. At the same time, meaningful change comes through awareness, connection, and your ability to make choices that align with who you are and who you want to become.
My approach is grounded in an integrative, relational philosophy that values awareness, curiosity, and connection—both within yourself and in your relationships with others.
