Jehanzeb's Focus
But what if therapy is a space for you to slow down, process, and refocus? What if it’s an opportunity to explore yourself in a supportive and non-judgmental environment? What if it serves as a pathway to discovering your strengths, improving your relationships, and achieving your lifetime goals? What if it helps you realize that fulfilling your dreams is possible?
Jehanzeb's Other Specialities
Instilling Hope in Relationships
Healthy communication is undoubtedly one of the most important qualities of a satisfying and fulfilling relationship. At the same time, what’s often overlooked is the importance of connection. Feeling connected to your partner not only requires good communication, but also a strong foundation of respect, compassion, and trust. Connection is the feeling that you and your partner are on the same side and not in competition with one another. It is understandable that challenges in a relationship lead to feelings of disconnection or even hopelessness. As a therapist who utilizes the Gottman Method, I will work with you to learn new ways of communicating as well as revive your sense of connection and solidarity as a couple. Life can be overwhelming and filled with uncertainty, but you don’t have to navigate through it on your own. My goal as a therapist is not only to support you in your journey but to empower you to find the path you envision for yourself. I look forward to working with you.
More About Jehanzeb
Jehanzeb’s social justice advocacy motivates him to provide culturally and context-sensitive counseling services to marginalized and underserved communities, especially racial, ethnic, and religious minorities.
Jehanzeb is also a movie enthusiast and may incorporate movie characters in therapy to deepen awareness of one’s own awareness of feelings and needs. This can help in the therapeutic process as learning occurs more quickly when information is processed in more than one way. Movies can open up a range of feelings, reframe problems and provide inspiration and hope. They can also open up parts of oneself that are either hidden or just out of awareness.
